  • Are donations tax deductible?

    Nutriendo PR is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt Puerto Rican non-profit organization. Your donation to Nutriendo PR is tax deductible to the extent allowed by U.S federal law.

  • How can I donate by check or cash?

  • Can I get a receipt for my check donation?

    If you donate, please email info@nutriendopr.org so we can send you a letter/receipt for your official records.

  • Can I donate via wire transfer?

  • How can I participate and/or apply to the programs?

    Nutrition Innovation Fund (FIN): Nutrindo PR will extend invitations to apply to organizations that have been pre-qualified as candidates that meet the fund's basic criteria. To be considered, show interest by emailing info@nutriendopr.org with your name, email & message expressing interest in the program.

     

    Nutritional Security Innovation Incubator: Nutrindo PR will extend invitations to apply to organizations that have been pre-qualified as candidates that meet the incubators basic criteria. To be considered, show interest by emailing info@nutriendopr.org with your name, email & message expressing interest in the program.

     

    Action Network for Nutritional Security: To become part of the Action Network, email info@nutriendopr.org with your name, email & message expressing interest in the program.

  • Is there a deadline to apply for the Fund for Innovation in Nutrition?

    1st phase

    Application for consideration: April 1, 2022 - April 15, 2022

    Chosen and guest notification: April 20, 2022

     

    2nd Phase

    Formal application: April 22, 2022 – May 30, 2022

    Notification to finalists: June 10, 2022

     

    3rd phase

    Final interviews: June 13, 2022 – June 24, 2022

    Notification to elected: June 30, 2022

  • What are the eligibility requirements for the Fund for Innovation in Nutrition

    • Only projects that are currently being implemented.

    • Have tax exemption: Local, federal (501c3) or a fiscal agent.

     

    Seeks to meet one or more of the following objectives:

    • Increase people's motivation to consume nutritious food

    • Increase knowledge and skills to prepare/cook nutritious foods

    • Increase access to diverse, cost-effective, and nutritious food sources

  • What is the selection criteria for the Fund for Innovation in Nutrition?

    • Innovative: Bring a novel solution; works with a region or population that is not currently being served.

    • Potential to scale: It is scalable and impacts the nutritional security of a significant proportion of people.

    • Willingness to learn and grow: Leadership is willing to strengthen its work, receive assistance and implement it.

    • Data collection: Willingness to collect data to improve / understand impact and areas for improvement.

    • Significant impact: Nutriendo PR's investment will make a big difference in the scale and growth of the program
